EXCITEMENT mounts for the first Frome Climate Film Festival, otherwise known as the climates, which takes place next week on Saturday 7th May.
Free tickets are available for the film screenings, the awards ceremony and the free workshops being run throughout the day. The festival will bring together an exciting mix of film and environmental content to enable shared learning and to provide inspiration to those attending the festival.
Creator and director of the Frome International Climate Film Festival, James Godman said, “We have over 10 workshops on either making/creating films or on the environment being run during the day on the 7th May and a wonderfully diverse film programme of over 16 films at last count.
“The films, many of which will be world premieres, range from short features of 15 minutes, to under 2 minutes and include music and poems set to film, an engaging and thought- provoking mix.
“The community support has been fantastic, the festival’s aims and objectives have really resonated with people as we provide a free festival to share, support and to inspire change. Special thanks to Frome Town Council.
“If you would like to help on the day then please drop me a line, I would love to hear from you. Call 07760 558106.
“All workshops and screenings are free but have limited spaces, so make sure you book your place in advance. Refreshments will be available throughout.”
The festival is on Saturday 7th May, 10am to 8pm, at the Town Hall. Tickets can be booked online at: https://bit.ly/climatefilmfest
