The next meeting of Buckland History Group will take place in Buckland Dinham Village Hall on Thursday 9th March at 7.30pm.
Local researcher Colin Budge will give a presentation of the history of lead mining on the Mendips from the 1600s onwards.
Colin is a member of the Charterhouse Environs Research Team which has carried out great deal of work on the history of that area of Mendip.
The price for the evening is £3.00 and no charge for children. This will be the last evening event of this season so come and hear the fascinating story of this lost local industry. The meetings will resume in the autumn.
