FROME cancer charity, We Hear You (WHY), are once again hosting a ‘pop-up cafe’ at Rook Lane, Bath Street, from Monday 27th June to Wednesday 13th July.
The cafe will serve savouries, cakes and hot and cold drinks between 10am and 4pm daily, with all proceeds going to WHY’s specialist counselling and emotional support services for people affected or bereaved by cancer and life-threatening conditions.
As well as people to come and eat cake, the charity is looking for helpers to run the cafe and bakers to provide cakes to sell.
Volunteer coordinator, Lottie Ardeshir says, “Come and join us for this fab, fun event again this year - the team at WHY will provide all necessary training, so all you need is a friendly face and enough spare time to cover a three-hour shift between 27th June and 13th July!
“We’d also love to have a packed baking rota again this year, to make sure our cafe customers are spoilt for choice. If you can help, I’d love to hear from you at lottie.ardeshir@wehearyou.org.uk.”
The pop up cafe runs at Rook Lane, Bath Street, Frome, from Monday 27th June to Wednesday 13th July, during Frome Festival 2022 and the Photo Frome exhibition in Rook Lane’s main space. For more information, visit: fromefestival.co.uk
