LOCAL volunteer, Felipe Ieder and teacher Agustin, held their first coding club session on Saturday 2nd December and have declared it a great success.
During these sessions, children will have the opportunity to have hands-on experience, sparking curiosity and willingness to familiarise themselves with some core concepts of the internet like browsers, HTML and CSS.
Felipe Ieder, teacher of the class said, “It has been a total success, we got the kids super-engaged and even their parents! Some of them stayed to help us facilitating it and learn along with their kids.
“It was super cool and as a result we decided to take the course to the next level and deploy the work of the kids online, so they walked away with not only their first website but their first online website so they can show it to their friends and family from any computer, hoping to inspire others as we build their confidence.”
