A LOCAL resident was in for a surprise when he looked out of his window to find two people high up in the sky giving the weathervane of St John’s Church a spring clean.
Alan Davis, who lives at Keyford Heights, captured the moment on his camera earlier this month. He said, “I was so surprised to see them all the way up there! They must be very brave to have a job like that – just the sight of them up there is enough to make your stomach flip.
“I’ve lived in Frome for most of my life and I used to be a coat boy at the church when I was a young boy, around 80 years ago, helping the Bishop with his robes during services. I have a wonderful view of Frome from my window, and it brings back a lot of memories.”
