Start your Christmas season off in style by coming along to the 27th Annual CLIC Sargent Carol Service and Charity Auction.
This year’s event will be taking place at the Frome Livestock Market, Standerwick on Monday 3rd December, at 7pm.
One of the organisers of the event, Dave Ball says, “Following the usual format, a traditional carol service with readings will start the evening, followed by a short interval when refreshments and drinks can be purchased from the bar, courtesy of our hosts Mrs.B’s Caring Catering.
“Then comes the main event, the charity auction conducted by auctioneer and part time comedian and local yokel Dennis Barnard, who conducts a fast moving and humourous auction on behalf of CLIC Sargent, the national, but locally-based children’s cancer charity.
“Items for sale are many and varied, with items such as a Waitrose hamper, a sturdy bird table, large Christmas gnome, Lyon’s seafood voucher, Center Parcs day pass for a family of four, various alcoholic beverages, Christmas cakes and many other seasonal offerings.
“It is a lovely seasonal event, the success of which is proven by the 27 years it has been held. Over £30,000 has been raised for CLIC Sargent over all those years, so why not come along on 3rd December and enjoy this heartwarming and good humoured event, which does so much good for children and their families who are suffering from cancer.”
