Co-op shoppers in Frome and Radstock have helped benefit patients staying at their local community hospital.
The Radstock Co-operative Society has donated £1,000 to Frome Community Hospital, which is run by Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, thanks to the carrier bag charging levy.
Hayley Hughes, matron at Frome Community Hospital said, “We’re really grateful to the Frome Co-op and its customers for making this generous donation possible.
“The money will be used to contribute towards the improvement of patient care and activities during their care.”
Chris Warren, director at Radstock Co-Operative Society said, “It’s fantastic to be able to support the hospital and patients during their stay and we’re very pleased to be able to benefit the surroundings for them.”
