COME and join Lark and Toby at Frome’s New Venue at The Wheatsheaves on Saturday 7th May for an evening of live bands and DJs… Top of the bill will be Sweet Machine!
With a diverse range of influences, Sweet Machine craft original, danceable, electro pop songs with occasional forays into ‘out there electronic weirdness!’ Sometimes described as unique, the Sweet Machine sound offers a reminder of late 70’s/early 80’s electro mixed with more modern day electronic sounds and beats.
Formed from the ashes of Glastonbury Unsigned finalists electro/techno band ‘The Deluxe’ Sweet Machine produce a live set very much aimed at being full on and up-tempo to keep heads nodding, legs bending, feet tapping and arms swaying.
Sweet Machine have recorded two albums, ‘Electric Soup’ (as Deluxe) and the just released ‘1979’ now on sale in local record shops. Their live set includes a mixture of tracks from both albums plus new material.
More support TBA – but expect more sounds from the 80s New Romantic phase as well as some other carefully curated DJs and sounds.
