CARNIVAL season is fast approaching and Garston Veterinary Group is asking children in Frome to get involved and design the cover for this year’s carnival programme.
Organisers say, “We want a wonderful cover that shows off what you love most about Frome Carnival. Think lights, music, fun, bright and bold. Let your imagination run wild!”
The winner will receive a special prize, as well as see their design on the cover of the Frome Carnival programme, which will be seen by thousands.
The competition is open to all local children who attend either primary, middle or secondary school. Entrants are asked to only use felt tip pens or colouring pencils.
To enter the competition, download an entry form from the Frome Carnival website: www.fromecarnival .org.uk. Entry forms are also available from the Discover Frome Information Point at Black Swan Arts, Frome Town Hall, the newspaper shop on Badcox (next to Parsons Bakery), Selwood Academy, and Oakfield School. Alternatively, call carnival chair, June Barnes, on 01373 461 625 who will arrange for a form to be sent to you.
The closing date for entries is Friday 12th July. Entries can be handed in to June at her home, 12 Styles Close, or to Garston Vets on Portway.
Frome Carnival will this year be held on Saturday 21st September.
