THE Somerset Ear Wax Clinic, based at Frome Medical Centre, is on hand to help clear out unwanted earwax.
Teresa Munro, who started the Somerset Ear Wax Clinic in May this year said, “Anybody and everybody gets ear wax, some building it up more than others. If you leave it, it could lead to a loss of hearing and it will be very uncomfortable. Also, it could be potentially dangerous if you were to try and remove it yourself.
“Running from the Horizon Suite at Frome Medical Centre, I am on hand daily to clear out the unwanted wax. Customers leave my consulting room being able to hear, they say it’s wonderful! It’s a pain free, quick procedure that’s over in minutes.
“I have been a nursing sister for over 30 years and based at the Frome Medical Practice for the last 14 years. I trained at Guy’s Hospital in London and have done all aspects of nursing, including a lot of ear irrigations. I then went on an updated ear irrigation course last year and as it has become much less readily available, with some surgeries not offering it all, I decided to set up the business.
“I have daily availability, and can offer a consultation appointment if you would like to come in and discuss the treatment. Older people especially need an irrigation before their audiology check.
“Word is starting to get around about my business with thanks to the Frome Times advert and parish magazines and word of mouth. I look forward to welcoming all to an appointment.”
Teresa is available from Monday – Friday from 8.00am to 6.00pm. To make an appointment call 07962 102045. If you have any questions about the procedure or whether you should have ear irrigation, you can email Teresa on teresa munro@hotmail.co.uk.
