Fair Frome has been given a grant from the Asda Community Foundation to help the charity buy food for residents in need this Christmas.
The charity runs the town’s food bank, Furniture Bank, Food at Five, Community Pantry, Baby Basics Bank, the Financial Assistance Scheme and other projects.
Senior coordinator Lenka Grimes said, “We are really pleased to have once again been supported by Asda with a £1,000 grant, which will help us to buy food for our projects, especially in the lead up to Christmas when demand will increase again. Jackie, the local community champion continues to volunteer and support the food bank.”
Frome’s Asda community champion Jackie said the volunteers at Fair Frome were thrilled to receive the funds.
