LOCAL charity, Fair Frome, is searching for new trustees to join their organisation.
The charity is holding a special trustee open evening on Monday 20th March at 6.30pm at the current offices at the Elliott Building, just behind the Town Hall.
Formed just nine years ago, Fair Frome campaigns for greater financial, social and health equality for people living in Frome and the surrounding areas. It is perhaps best known for running the Food Bank, Furniture Bank, the Food at Five hot meal service as well as Holiday Hunger.
John Killah, one of the current co-chairs at Fair Frome, said, “This is an incredibly busy time for Fair Frome. Not only has the demand for our services greatly increased in recent months, but we are about to move into larger premises as well as embark on a new service that we shall be formally announcing very shortly.
“Our trustees are expected to be both committed and ‘hands-on’. Whilst not a requirement we are particularly looking for applicants with experience in HR, safeguarding, fundraising and partnerships, IT, diversity, and inclusion. We are also keen to attract applications from under-represented groups and minorities in applying for a trustee role. So, whatever your age, life experience, background and qualifications, we would be delighted to hear from you.”
Anyone interested in becoming a trustee is more than welcome to attend the upcoming open evening and is asked to RSVP on 01373 488578.
