WINSTONE’s Hunting Raven is delighted to present Families, Fathers and Faith: Lily Dunn and Ali Millar in Conversation in the Naval Room at The Archangel on Friday 24th November.
Both Lily Dunn and Ali Millar have written gripping personal memoirs (Sins of My Father; The Last Days respectively) around the effects that non-mainstream religion, cults and addiction can have on family life.
Both memoirs have been described as “intense”, “compelling”, “raw and courageous” and convey the experience of a young woman navigating families that they both belong to, but from whom they feel the need to disentangle themselves. “We feel privileged to have the opportunity to listen to their stories,” says Tina Gaisford-Waller from Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books.
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. “The Archangel is open all day, so do arrive early to enjoy a drink,” says Tina.
Books will be available to buy at the event and a signing will take place after the talk.
Tickets are £6 and are available to buy online at: www.bit.ly/dunnmillarfrome, at Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books on Cheap Street, or by phone on 01373 473111.
