THE Luttrell family have completed their mission to cycle 75 miles, raising £1,260 for Frome’s Missing Links.
The family, Dalma and Paul Luttrell with their children, eight-year-old Tinker and five-year-old Artur, set off on their trip earlier this month, cycling 40 miles on the first day from Frome to Blandford Forum.
The second leg of the trip was completed by Paul and their eldest son Zak, cycling from Blandford Forum to Studland, where Dalma, Tinker and Artur met them on the beach.
Dalma said, “We did the first part of the journey, exactly 40 miles from Cycology Bikes Frome to the end of the traffic-free cycle path ‘the Trailway’ in Blandford Forum. Tinker is a hero, he cycled the whole lot on his bike.
“I calculate that with all the refuelling stops it took us 8.5 hours. We cycled through the beautiful Longleat and Stourhead estates, passed lovely scented rapeseed fields, sunburnt open roads, climbed and whizzed down on hills.
“Thank you for all your support and help. You are awesome and without you, the access path won’t happen.”
