THE Corsley Fayre will take place on Saturday 3rd September, from 12pm noon until 4pm. With free entry, it is a much reduced, village fete, version of the Corsley Show.
Retaining the usual horticulture and crafts exhibits it will also have many rural crafts on display, children’s games, pony rides, bouncy castles, fun dog show, hoopers (dog) competition to watch, music by the Frukes, beer tent, tea tent and classic vehicles, along with many trade stands and animals. Something for all the family and for all ages!
The event will be held on the area of the traditional Corsley Show Field furthest from the A362, public access is via Deep Lane, as for previous shows.
Committee member, Hugh Deed said, “With regret it was realised that mounting a full Corsley Show in 2022 was not possible, but it was felt we could mount this smaller scale village fete event for the community this year. By running it free to enter in 2022, we are able to reduce the number of people required to run it and reduce the workload.”
Full details can be found on the website: corsleyfayre.org.uk which will be kept up to date.
In the evening there is a Ceilidh in aid of the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group for radiotherapy equipment. Tickets must be purchased in advance; details are on the website – www.corsleyfayre.org.uk
