FREE health walks are being run in Frome to help local people stay fit and healthy at no cost.
On Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays) a short easy walk sets off from the Cheese & Grain at 10.30am and walks 1-1.5 miles in 30-45 minutes.
On Wednesdays a slighter more difficult 45-50 minute walk takes place from Frome Medical Centre starting at 9.30am.
Then on Fridays, walks generally ranging from three to five miles set off from different places around the area. All walks on a Friday start at 10.30am.
The next walk is Friday 13th April with Terry in Heytesbury, Wiltshire. Meet at the far end of the village, at the old A36 past the Angel In. The walk will be a gentle stroll along the River Wylye of 3.75 miles.
Then on Friday 20th April join Michael in Kingston Deverill BA12 7HF. Park in the vicinity of the church. The walk will see 4 miles on the Mid Wilts Way, up the downs to the Gliding Club. This walk is great to take in good views all round.
These walks can be slippery and muddy if wet or has been wet, so it is advised to wear sensible footwear.
