Frome Musical Theatre Company are preparing to raise the roof with their spring show, School of Rock, taking place at the Memorial Theatre from Tuesday 2nd May to Saturday 6th May from 7pm.
Based on the paramount movie written by Mike White with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this epic musical is an amateur production by arrangement with The Really Useful Group Ltd.
The show follows Dewey Finn, a failed wannabe rock star who decides to earn a bit of extra cash by posing as a teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight A pupils into a guitar shredding, bass slapping, mind blowing rock band – performed live by the talented young actors every night! Can he get them to Battle of the Bands without their teachers and parents finding out? You’ll have to come and watch!
Unlike previous years, there will be no matinee performance due to the Kings Coronation on Saturday 6th May so there are just five opportunities to watch – don’t leave it too late to book!
Tickets: Adult £18, U16 and OAP £16, group bookings of 10+ £15 – available to book in person or over the phone.
Contact the theatre box office on 01373 462795 or visit Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 1pm to book. You can also book online at www.fromememorialtheatre.org.uk
