Two charities in Frome have recently received a funding boost thanks to grants from the Asda Community Foundation.
The Pod Charity was recently presented with a cheque for £600 to help them continue with their work in supporting children and young adults with additional and special needs.
The Frome and District Friendship Club and Day Centre, which meets at the Assembly Rooms, was also given a cheque for £1,000 to help fund their recent Christmas party. The organisation runs a space where the over-55s can meet, eat and make new friends.
Asda Community Champion in Frome, Jackie Byrant said, “Asda are currently part of the campaign to end loneliness and this is one of their main focuses. I was so pleased to present the cheque to the two charities.”
