LOCAL community radio station, Frome FM, raised just over £560 in their recent quiz fundraiser for new studio equipment.
The sold-out event was held on Thursday 8th February at the Awesome Studio at Station Approach. “We had an incredible turnout from supporters and community members, resulting in a significant fundraising total,” says a director of the station, Tim Hardy.
“The fundraiser was organised with the primary goal of acquiring new studio equipment to enhance the quality of broadcasts and improve the overall experience for both listeners and volunteers.
“With the generous support and participation of the Frome community, the event surpassed all expectations.
“The quiz night was a lively and engaging affair, filled with fun and spirited competition as teams vied for victory. Regular Frome Quizzer team ‘Limp Quizbet’ was the winner of the cash prize and in a wonderful act of kindness, donated it straight back to Frome FM!
“We are overwhelmed by the incredible response to our quiz fundraiser. The generosity and support shown by the Frome community is truly inspiring. With the funds raised, we are on our way to paying for a new studio mixing desk that will greatly enhance the quality of our broadcasts and ensure that Frome FM continues to thrive as a vital resource for our community. We have some way to go and this sets us up brilliantly.
