The 39th annual Frome Lions Club sponsored swim is back in March, and clubs and organisations are invited to take part.
The event will run on Sunday 8th March at Frome Leisure Centre. Funds raised will be split between the Frome Lions Club Charitable Trust and the teams themselves.
This year the Lions are supporting two charities: SWEDA, which supports those with eating disorders, and Children’s Hospice South West.
Lion Mike Geake said, “The swim is open to all clubs, business houses, schools, associations, youth organisations and family groups. There is no limit to the number of teams entered by any one organisation but no swimmer may enter in more than one team.
“Swimming will take place in 25-minute sessions between 12pm and 4pm, with each member of the team obtaining their own sponsors. We will commence the afternoon with the pool configured for swimming widths rather than lengths for any team that wishes to swim widths.”
Application forms are available from the club website at www.fromelions.org.uk or by contacting Lion Allison Rumming at allison.rumming@fromelions.org.uk or on 07794 091292.
