Schools and groups across Frome have come together to mark Red Nose Day.
The day raises funds for Comic Relief, which supports causes in the UK and around the world.
At St John’s First School, staff and pupils dressed up in red and collected money in a massive jar to mark the occasion. There were red skirts, jumpers and even some red-whiskers when children dressed up as cats.
At Oakfield Academy, pupils gave up their break time to sell cakes to raise money for Comic Relief. Cookies, cupcakes and brownies were among the creative creations.
Meanwhile, staff at Frome Town Council celebrated Red Nose Day with a ‘naff shirt’ day. Each person taking part made a donation to Comic Relief and wore their best silly shirt. In an update on Facebook, the Town Council added, “Special mention for Town Hall Steward Sean, who owns so many naff shirts that he wore several on rotation.”
