Unfortunately, this match was a hard one to swallow for Stars, sponsored by Dennis Maps, but a loss which the team can definitely learn and build from.
They say, “Still feeling the pain from a loss last week, the girls went out with a passion to win. The first quarter saw Chippenham match our passion, and with quick passing and height on their side, they put away seven unanswered goals. The second quarter saw some changes for Stars, with Sophie Woolley going into defence to challenge Chippenham’s tall Goal Shooter, and Emma Guy coming on to dominate Centre court. Stars gave a good fight, but still could not find their energy. Half time saw them down by more than a few goals. The third quarter we knew we had to step up, and if we couldn’t come away with a win, to just enjoy being on court and relax. The second half definitely showed Chippenham what we were made of. We were back to the old Stars, dominating court and gelling together well, winning the last quarter. Player of the Match went to Georgia Cox, Players’ Player to Sheridan Pleasants and Coaches Pick to Emily Chapman.
