Frome Rotary has recently donated the cost of a new defibrillator to the town, as well as helping young people at Frome Community Collect.
Humphrey Barnes of Frome Rotary reports, “As your readers I am sure will have noticed, a number of defibrillators are appearing in prominent places in and around our town of Frome, and what a fantastic initiative that is, led by the Friends of Frome Community Hospital, who are financing the project.
“Each defibrillator cost is £3,000, a considerable amount of money, but the obvious benefits are of course enormous.
“The Rotary Club of Frome has recently donated £3,000 to this marvellous cause, and we have also given £50 to pupils at the Frome Community College who have been doing a number of fund raising events, including making cakes, having a Mufti day to include staff etc. Their aim is to raise £2,000 towards purchasing an on-site defibrillator. Frome Rotary wishes them every success with their efforts.”
