Frome Swimming Club has successfully secured funding to develop Masters/Seniors swimming sessions.
The investment from Sport England provides an ideal opportunity for the swimming club to deliver coached sessions to adult swimmers (18+).
Frome Swimming Club’s vision is to help swimmers that may have swum competitively when younger to return to their chosen sport and to develop natural talented swimmers to challenge themselves and compete at Masters/Seniors level. With access to approximately 6.5 hours pool time over the summer months, there has never been a better time to get fit and embark on a new challenge.
Susie Hann, lead coach for Frome Swimming Club said, “I am very excited about this new venture for the club as it will provide those adult swimmers who have had no structured swimming availability locally with the opportunity to train and compete.”
Local people and local communities will benefit from the funding as pool time will be utilised in Frome, Bath University 50m pool and Shepton Mallet Lido.
