THE Frome Musical Theatre Company (formerly the Frome Amateur Operatic Society) is delighted to announce that member Tabi Cox was voted Best Actress in the recent Rose Bowl Awards for her part as Maria in ‘The Sound of Music’ performed last May.
The Rose Bowl Awards are the equivalent of ‘The Oscars’ in the world of amateur theatre in the south west. and productions judged range geographically from Gloucestershire in the north to Wiltshire in the east and Devon in the south.
Tabi was up against very stiff opposition and so the FMTC is justifiably proud of her. Tabi is currently rehearsing with the group to play Prince Charming in this year’s pantomime ‘Cinderella’.
