A local, vibrant theatre company, Really Truly, has been selected to take their play ‘Mind Set’ to the Bath Elevate Festival, where it will feature as the prestigious Saturday night finale at the Theatre Royal Egg Auditorium.
‘Mind Set’ premiered at this year’s Frome Festival to laughter, gasps and thunderous applause. It is the work of Frome resident Polly Lamb.
It has been described as a ‘funny and touching play’ following three strong women whose friendship is tested to extraordinary (and often hilarious) limits as conspiracy theory begins to dominate the life of one of them. Shocking layers of truth are peeled away as the friends try to work out what really matters.
The Frome women who have brought this together are all prominent participants in the town and its community, as well as working professionally in the theatre. Polly Lamb, a retail manager, is the writer and director; Rosie Allerhand is an actor and freelance creative consultant; Tracey Ashford is a Frome Town Councillor, actor and marketing consultant and Suzy Howlett is an actor, writer, teacher and local voluntary worker.
If you missed it the first time around, now is your chance to catch it at The Bath Theatre Royal, Egg Auditorium, on Saturday 7th September at 8pm.
