A fungas foray and a talk on brown hares are being held by Somerset Wildlife Trust in October.
Saturday 7 October at 10:30am sees the Fungus Foray. Enjoy an excellent and usually very productive search for fungi in the Alfred’s Tower woodland. On Thursday 26 October 19:30pm, there is a talk on the Life and Times of the Brown Hare by Peter Thompson, biodiversity advisor, Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, regarding the history, ecology, distribution and population of brown hares, and reasons for their decline in some parts of the country.
