OneAcre Music presents Minor Works Unit + support from the Patch Craddock Trio plus DJs; Pilote – (Micro Spiral/Domino Records) – Zackie Chan – (Deep Sound Channel) onThursday 5th February at The Wheatsheaves, 23 Bath Street, Frome.
The organisers invite you to join them at The Wheatsheaves in Frome, “For a night of genre-hopping musical shenanigans, featuring Glastonbury’s finest, Minor Works Unit, an acoustic five piece with a philosophy that music, and the musical experience, should be fun for both the musician and the audience.
“Their musical style is derived from the ‘Bitzah’ music tradition; being a fusion of many genres including ska, latin, folk and good time dance tunes. All the songs are their own with imaginative quirky lyrics that cast a sideways look at life. The result? A melting pot of infectious grooves, lots a laughs, sing-alongs and the crowd on their feet!
“Coming off the back of a sterling performance at The Griffin a few weeks back, these fellas are not to be missed!
“Support comes from semi-mythical local bluegrass players, the Patch Craddock Trio. The night will be rounded off with DJ sets from Frome based producer and BBC 6 music favourite Pilote, and mercurial beat meister Zackie Chan, playing electronica, breaks, drum and bass and whatever else might be lying about……….
“So come along to The Wheatsheaves on Thursday 5th February, 9.00pm til late – entry £3.00.”
