Orchardleigh Golf Club recently presented Dorothy House with a cheque for £3,679.66, bringing the total the club has raised for the charity since 2010 to £73,000.
The cheque was presented by the seniors’ club captain, Jim Worsley, to Dorothy House fundraisers Don Kennedy and Shula Dunnard.
Jim, who has organised numerous events in aid of Dorothy House throughout his year as captain, thanked club members, particularly the seniors’ section, for their generous support of the charity.
The H&B Cup Day, the main event, was sponsored by Chris Vincent, owner of Orchardleigh Estate, along with Mindset Training, Domesticare, McAllisters Estate Agents, Harlows of Frome, Ames Kent Solicitors and Hatt Health and Movement Clinic.
A member of Orchardleigh Golf Club, Malcolm Lloyd, said, “These sponsors, together with many donations of prizes and cash from club members, ensured another successful year of fundraising.”
On behalf of Dorothy House, Shula thanked everyone for their support and noted that Orchardleigh has now donated over £73,000 since starting their charity golf events in 2010.
