Local DJ collective and South West party legends Gorilla Tactics are returning to the Cheese & Grain for their annual Christmas bash, and this year’s event promises to a giant festive knees up!
Known for hosting the iconic Wrong Side of the Tracks stage at Boomtown Fair for over a decade, these local lads have also brought a stellar lineup of artists to Frome in recent years, including Andy C, Goldie, David Rodigan, and more.
On Friday, December 20th, they’ll raise the roof once again, headlined by none other than UK drum and bass pioneer Shy FX, joined by the legendary MC Rage.
“Andre “Shy FX” Williams has quietly been one of the most influential British producers of the last 25 years,” said the Cheese & Grain. “From his groundbreaking jungle anthem Original Nuttah (a tune that has as much impact now as it did when it first smashed into the charts in the early 90s), to his recent collabs with household names such as Lilly Allen and Chronixx, to his behind-the-scenes production work for multi-million selling pop RnB acts, Shy’s ability to fuse soundsystem culture with electronic futurism and classic songwriting has defined the music of successive generations.
“He will be joined by RAGE – known for being Chase & Status’ host MC for the past 17 years, as well as for working with such luminaries as Goldie, Hype, Zinc & Kemistry.
“There will be a stacked programme of South West talent supporting the show – including Music From The Mothership collective, Monroller, Jaycee & TJB, as well as GT DJs.
“There are less than 25% of tickets remaining for this show – head to Cheese & Grain website for more details.”
