AMATEUR company, Shakespeare Live, is coming to the Merlin Theatre in October for a performance of ‘Hamlet Act Six’.
Promoters say, “What might happen if a group of actors rehearsing ‘Hamlet’ objected to all the dead bodies strewn around the stage and demanded a happy ending? What alternatives might Will Shakespeare produce?
“That is the premise behind ‘Hamlet Act Six’, a mixture of Shakespeare’s own work and a new act written by Somerset-based writer and puppeteer Dennis Harkness. Dramatic, exciting, almost tragic, and very funny, this is a brilliant, original and highly-entertaining piece of theatre.”
Tickets (£12) for the performance at the Merlin on Thursday 7th October are on sale through: www. shakespearelive.com
