ARE you wanting to make changes to improve your health and wellbeing?
Health Connections Mendip have taken their successful Healthy Lifestyles Programme online.
Joanne Fordham, senior health connector for the organisation said, “We all know the importance of taking care of ourselves, but sometimes it can be tricky to know where to begin.
“The Healthy Lifestyles Programme is a five-week programme that explores all of our physical and emotional needs and how we can meet them.
“The five main subjects are, movement, healthy eating, sleep, emotional and social wellbeing.
“Sharing tips on how to stay connected with others during this difficult time. This could be through social media, telephone calls and online groups. It’s important for our mental wellbeing to continue to have connections with others.
“We talk about sleep and share useful tips on how to improve it. Tips on how to look after your body, through movement and what we eat. Our physical health has a big impact on how we feel. During times like these it can be easy to fall into unhealthy patterns of behaviour that can sometimes end up making us feel worse.
“Learning how we can stay focused and in the present. Helping us to manage difficult emotions, through relaxation techniques. By learning how to look after our physical and emotional wellbeing, this will help us meet our needs, keeping our health optimised.”
