Important fire safety message at Oakfield

OAKFIELD Academy Year 5 pupils attended an important fire safety assembly with firefighter Lee Dredge recently.

 The academy reports, “Lee spoke to them about the importance of having an ‘escape plan’ in case of a fire. He also spoke about fire alarms, fire hazards, and what to do if your clothes accidentally catch fire!  

“Year 5 pupil, Oliver Coates, even had the opportunity to dress up in a fire fighting uniform whilst Lee explained each item of the uniform and its purpose.”
