Staff and volunteers at Positive Action on Cancer have once again started planning their Splash of Purple fundraiser.
Now an annual event, Splash of Purple includes local schools, businesses, clubs and individuals. PAC encourages everyone to add a Splash of Purple to their lives and raise vital funds for their local charity.
The 2012 Splash of Purple fundraiser is planned for Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd March.
Kelly Hall, fundraiser at PAC said, “We hope that many local people, schools, businesses and community groups will get involved this year. You can do any purple themed activities from wearing an item of purple clothing, to selling our purple ribbons or turning your school or business purple. In these tough financial times we are seeing our highest referral figures and need local support more than ever. We hope that everyone can add a Splash of Purple to their lives and support us.”
PAC are currently planning purple themed events and will be promoting these along with those being organised by supporters on their website. PAC is currently the only organisation to offer free professional counselling to any adults or children affected or bereaved by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in BANES, Somerset and West Wilts.
