FROME Festival and Frome Birth Talk organisers are hosting a fundraising jazz and cream tea event on Sunday 22nd May (2pm to 4.30pm) to raise money for both of the local organisations.
People are being asked to come down and enjoy an afternoon of sipping on cream teas, munching on scones and relaxing to jazz – all for a good cause!
The mesmerising Sticky Toffee Jazz band, described as a sophisticated collection of music inspired by classical jazz, swing and blues, from Etta James and Sinatra to Adele and Paolo Nutini, will be serenading people throughout the afternoon.
Tickets are on sale now at £12.00 for adults and £10.00 for under 16s. The ticket also includes a cream tea and can be purchased by searching ‘Sticky Toffee Jazz and Cream Tea Fundraiser Frome’ on Eventbrite or by visiting the Frome Birth Talk or Frome Festival Facebook pages.
Frome Birth Talk is a small charity providing free counselling services, groups and wellbeing activities for women during pregnancy and the first year of parenthood.
Organisers say, “We’re hoping that it will be lovely weather, perfect for sitting out and enjoying the Rook Lane gardens but if it is wet, we will be cosy and dry in the regal main hall of the Chapel. We can’t wait to see you there!”
