As Positive Action on Cancer recently changed its name to We Hear You in a bid to raise more money and reach more people, the charity is appealing for people to join its Mad March Campaign.
If you have been touched by the work that the charity does or would like to support it then there are lots of ways to get involved.
Throughout March the organisation is asking people to throw coffee mornings or tea parties with their friends and families or at work. Why not make yours a Mad Hatters Tea Party?
If you fancy something a little more adventurous then there are still spaces on the Mad March Skydive or you could join the charity’s Mad March Bath Half Team. The charity is also recruiting for people to cycle the Longleat Lionheart sportive in April.
If you work in a school or have children at a local school the charity are asking whether you’d be willing to hold a cake sale or organise a non-uniform day to help raise money.
Fundraising manager Hannah Culff said, “Last year during Mad March the community raised a record- breaking £40,000, and the whole community, including the local business world, really got behind the campaign.”
If you would like more information on how you can get involved in Mad March, if you would like to become a volunteer for the organisation or if you are a local company who would like to get involved then please email fundraising@ positiveactiononcancer.co.uk or go to www.wehearyou.co.uk
