THE Lions Club of Frome celebrated its 50th anniversary with a special dinner held at the Assembly Rooms on the 18th March.
Nearly 100 people attended, including a number of past Presidents of the Lions clubs, the District Governor, MP David Warburton and a number of friends with whom the Lions wished to share this special occasion.
At the dinner, Lion President Keith McLeod provided a brief summary of the work that the Lions undertake and was pleased to announce that Frome Lions had raised in excess of £1million over the last 50 years, the majority of which has been donated to local causes.
The Lions continue to work in supporting the local community and this year, so far have donated over £20,000 to local causes and charities.
