The children at Mells Church of England First School, along with parents and staff, walked round Mells on Wednesday to raise awareness about road safety.
The children want to be able to walk to school safely, so they need to know that traffic will stick to the 20 mph speed limit. The school did the walk in order to raise money for the road safety charity, Brake. The children have been learning about how to keep themselves safe and also understand about keeping healthy and saving the planet by walking or cycling to school.
The school says, “The walk was also extremely enjoyable for everyone and by the time they arrived back at school, they were feeling energised and ready for learning!”
