A NIGHT of imagination and adventure is promised to writers who book a place on an innovative workshop to raise funds for The Write Place at Black Swan Arts.
Write at the Museum offers the rare opportunity to visit Frome Museum after dark and restore some of the exhibits to life through a variety of prompts and exercises.
Part of The Write Place’s autumn programme for writers, the workshop is led by Kate McEwan who recently retired from running the studios that give wordsmiths a distraction-free space to write and meet other writers.
Kate guarantees that after Write at the Museum, you will never look at an object in quite the same way. “Every object has a story to tell,” she said. “This workshop will encourage you to open up your senses and create new stories for the historic exhibits that spark your imagination. We will also explore how objects can add depth to characters and push a plot forward. You’ll go home with an abundance of stimulating ideas to use as building blocks in your work.”
Write at the Museum costs £20 and will take place at The Write Place and Frome Museum from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Thursday 3rd November. Book online at https:// www.writeplace.org.uk/ workshops.
