Frome Town’s very own Youth Band brings some Christmas magic at the Memorial this December and there’s also a treat in store for the ladies!
Frome Town Youth Band – Saturday 6th December, 7.30pm: Frome Town Youth Band’s Christmas Concert traditionally kicks off the festive season at Frome Memorial Theatre and is a firm favourite in the calendar, showcasing the individual and combined musical talents of the youth (and not so young) of Frome and is not to be missed.
This year will include some of the players’ favourites from their 2014 repertoire ~ ranging from music marking the centenary of the beginning of First World War to renditions of chart toppers and modern classics, not forgetting the ever popular audience participation in singing of Christmas Carols.
Ladies Night with Showstrippers – Friday 12th December, 8.00pm: An evening of fun and naughtiness hosted by the charming and zany Drag Queen – Miss Anett Curtain. Miss Curtain is one of the nation’s top drag queens, her wicked sense of humour will have you rolling in the aisles – Drag Queen comedy not to be missed!
Accompanying Anett will be two handsome hunks from ‘Showstrippers’ – providing ‘ladies night’ entertainment as only they know how!
So ladies get your glad rags on and book your tickets for a pre-Christmas evening of spirited fun and laughter in Frome’s Assembly Rooms at the Memorial Theatre Complex.

![Town-wide programme brings month of social activities in May
A month-long programme of activities and events is set to take place across the town in May as part of an initiative encouraging residents to connect with themselves, each other and local places.
The scheme, Frome Connects, will run throughout the month and includes a mix of social activities, creative events and informal meet-ups in community spaces.
Highlights include the return of Dress Up Fridays, which began during lockdown and invites people to wear formal clothing or fancy dress and turn the town into their catwalk each Friday.
Set-piece moments include a Kate Bush-themed flashmob (Running Up That [Catherine] Hill) on 30th May, followed by a bell peal at St John’s Church where the bells will play Running Up That Hill.
There will also be a whole-town drone photo on Friday 30th May, with everyone encouraged to ‘look up’ at around 12.30pm.
