My Fair Lady! It’s an old-time favourite rags-to-riches story, and it’s coming to the Merlin on the 17th, 18th and 19th of October.
You have the chance to hear one of musical theatre’s greatest scores, live on the Merlin stage! The production includes all the classic songs: “Wouldn’t it be loverly”, “I could have danced all night”, “With a little bit of luck” and “Get me to the church on time”.
The talented team from Merlin Theatre Productions have been working on the production since May, perfecting the songs and dances to a professional standard for your delight. You may have seen them with their flowers and umbrellas at the Frome Carnival recently, where they won the Don Eames cup for their beautiful procession entry.
Abi Holmes, who is choreographing the show said, “We have a super talented cast for this production, which has been really exciting for the creative team. It has meant we can really push them with difficult choreography to recreate everyone’s favourite songs, dances and scenes from the original production. It’s been hard work, but so exciting. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve created!”
Follow Eliza Doolittle’s journey, a young cockney flower girl, as she blossoms into an elegant lady under the unforgiving tutorial of a bad mannered and emotionally immature Professor, Henry Higgins. Two unexpected classes colliding throughout the show adding comedy, colour and cliff-hangers.
Tickets can be booked online at merlintheatre.co.uk or from the Merlin Theatre box office in person or on the phone (01373 465949) which is open from 10 – 1, Monday – Friday. Tickets are selling quite fast but there is still availability for all three performances.
