STAFF and pupils at Vallis First School have thanked Frome Rotary Club after they donated £300 to the school to purchase new books.
A school spokesperson says, “Thank you Frome Rotary Club! The Key Stage Two staff were delighted to receive a donation of £300 to spend on new reading material for the children.
“Mrs Powrie, the English coordinator at the school, really enjoyed selecting from the wealth of books available at Winstone Books on Cheap Street for our older children and online from Harper Collins for the younger children. The children are excited about the titles Mrs Powrie chose and have said they are looking forward to settling down to read them!”
