New lead nurse joins Frome Medical Practice

FROME Medical Practice recently welcomed a new lead nurse to the team. 

Pernille Johansen started at the practice in February, bringing with her a great deal of experience after starting her career at Fulham Medical Centre in London in 2001 and more recently working as lead nurse at a practice in Truro.  

Managing partner at the Frome Medical Practice, Karen Creffield, said, “Our lead nurse plays a pivotal role at the practice, being responsible for the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to our whole practice population and overseeing our practice nurse and health care assistant teams.  

“Pernille has extensive nursing experience, including 10 years as a lead nurse in another large practice in Cornwall, and we are really pleased she’s chosen to join the team at the practice to take on this key role with us.”   

Pernille added, “Having admired Frome Medical Practice from a distance for many years, and being aware of its reputation as an innovative and forward looking practice, I am excited to now be part of the team and to take on the important role as their lead nurse.   

“I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received and now look forward to working with the nurses, health care assistants and the wider practice team to ensure that we provide the excellent nursing care that our patients deserve.”
