Frome Medical Practice has welcomed muscular skeletal and orthopaedic specialist, Daniel Taylor, onto their clinical team
Dan, who carried out his medical training at Birmingham and Coventry Universities, specialises in treating patients with low back pain, arthritis, shoulder pain, as well as knee and foot pain. He also sees patients who suffer from sciatica and tennis elbow.
Senior partner at the Frome Medical Practice, Dr Helen Kingston, said, “We made the promise several years ago that we would could continue to strive to promote and provide new and additional medical services to our patients.
“The appointment of Daniel Taylor is just part of that ongoing process. We wish Daniel a rewarding and happy future here.’
The practice has also ensured that patients will be able to see their new clinician without delay.
Dan explains, “What makes the job really great for myself is that patients can see me quickly without any necessity of referring on to secondary care. All patients need do is call 01373 301 301 and book in a telephone conference with a first contact practitioner. I can then take it from there and if appropriate arrange a face to face appointment with the patient. By being able to contact me initially, hopefully what I will be doing is going to take at least some of the pressure off our GPs, thus allowing them more time to see patients.”
Dan also specialises in injection therapy and is qualified to independently prescribe.
“Everyone here at the practice has made me extremely welcome,” adds Dan. “Of course, that also includes the patients. I am already very busy and it is great to be here.”
