THE next Marston Music Open Mic will be held on Sunday 12th June, from 3pm to 6pm.
Organisers say, “St Leonards Church at Marston Bigot only has six services a year, so it’s opened its doors to invite musicians to come and try out its wonderful acoustics (and grand organ!). Poetry and spectators also welcome.
“So join us for an afternoon of tea, cake and inspiration in an 18th century building, which lies in a fabulous setting, with wide and tranquil views of fields and woods of the River Frome valley, a couple of miles west of Frome, known for its wonderful peal of eight bells and its important stained-glass windows, which have recently been refurbished.
“Doors open 3pm to 6pm. £3 entry. Refreshments available. Park at the church or enjoy a walk across the fields. Just turn up and play or contact sara@gracefulsolutions.co.uk if you’re coming far!”
