STAFF at a Frome opticians got in the festive spirit and turned their focus towards raising money for Save the Children from Friday 15th December until the store closed for Christmas on Saturday 23rd December, raising almost £50.
The team at Specsavers showed off their crazy Christmas jumpers in store. The show of clashing colours was for a good cause, as staff raised funds themselves to wear jolly jumpers and invited others to donate too.
Store director, Richard Goring says,, “Lots of children at Christmas enjoy waking up in their warm beds on Christmas morning. However, there are children that don’t even have a roof over their head, let alone a warm bed to sleep in.
“Save the Children is a wonderful charity and we are proud to support them by doing fundraising events in-store. Christmas time is all about giving and we have raised some money for the organisation to improve children’s living conditions.
‘Whether that is taking the time to admire the team’s efforts or making a donation, we are extremely grateful.”
