GERMAN Shepherd dogs were recently brought into Vallis First School to add a touch of excitement and interest to the biology science lessons for Year One and Year Two pupils.
The school says, “Each Key Stage One class has really enjoyed visits from Ann Swift (from Monksley) who brought German Shepherd dogs with her. These visits have really brought the science learning in KS1 to life.
“The children learnt that dogs are mammals; they learnt about the needs of puppies and how dogs communicate their feelings. The children excitedly asked questions about puppies and older dogs. The school are very grateful that Ann gave up her time to visit the children and to make their science learning meaningful and exciting.”
