HOPE Frome and Frome Town Council are inviting people to an inspiring evening to help local communities and churches take practical steps to care for our local environment.
The evening will kick off with a short introduction from Revd Andy Bowerman, whose work as the co-director of the Anglican Alliance has taken him to some of the poorest places on the planet where climate change is having the biggest impacts.
After this, participants can take part in short ‘table talk’ workshops led by experts in topics as diverse as working with children on wildlife projects in churchyards, advice on new technology to help cut church/domestic fuel bills and reduce carbon emissions, working with neighbours to create ‘green streets’, and finding out how Frome Town Council can support groups to work on local environmental projects.
The event is at Frome Town Council offices on Tuesday 19th September, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The evening is free. Booking at www. eventbrite.com/e/earthing-heaven-healing-our-land-and-engaging-with-our-communities-tickets- 35561743131 or just turn up on the night.
