THE Artisan is opening its doors to the homeless in Frome to give them a traditional Christmas dinner to help combat loneliness at this time of year.
The Artisan, since its reopening, has been overwhelmed with the support from the local community and wanted to give back.
Working with Fair Frome, the pub will open its doors to the homeless on Wednesday 12th December to serve the festive meal.
Manager, Dorothy Paweda said, “At Christmas, nobody should be alone. We aren’t open on Christmas day, but still wanted to give back to the community.
“Christmas is a time when everyone gets together, a special time when no-one should be alone. We are always here to help and make Christmas magical for everyone, especially those who are going through a hard time.”
Guests will be treated to a traditional Christmas lunch with a pudding and teas and coffees. The restaurant can cater for up to 35 people, with Fair Frome working to find those in need this Christmas.
