OAKFIELD Academy’s musical production of ‘Mr Scrooge’ has been hailed a success by school staff.
The school’s Dawn Warren said, “‘Mr Scrooge’ was a musical version of Charles Dickens’ classic story of ‘A Christmas Carol’ which tells the story of the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge into a kinder, gentler man after visitations by ghosts.
“The main characters were played by Sam Cotterell and Stan Butler-White (Scrooge), Ted Lewis-Clark and Sam Prosser (Bob Cratchit) and Jessie Angeloro and Emma Piper (The Marley Brothers), and Georgie Owens and Jess Young were the narrators.
“Well done to all of the cast and technical team for an amazing production. Special thanks to all the parents and carers for helping with props, costumes and line-learning.
“More thanks to all of the staff for their wonderful support of the production. Finally thank you to Mrs Kathy Pinches for running the performance club for the last few months, and making this wonderful production happen.”
